MP

Finally, the bulk of Major Project is over!
Judging over, left with report and log book.

However,

Contradicting comments from judging.
Mr. A - scope too wide, lack figures
Mr. B - overall very good

and after judging, you told another group
that our scope was too wide, not very good.

what the fuck.
my previous week was totally fuck up!

Only when i thought i could feel better today,
its yet another fuck up day.
but thanks girl for telling me,
if not i would never have known.

Did Chennai, India flight yesterday.
Its a new flight on the schedule.
Reporting in the morning.

Abu was on my flight as a SNY crew
and he was attached to me.

This is my first flight after 7 weeks
and someone new is attached to me.

Tried my best to teach him,
at the same time,
i had to catch up with all the new F&B items and promos.

Overall, the flight was good.
No shortage.
Pax load on the way back was ONLY 47!
Quite bad turbulence though,
cuz it was raining in Chennai.

HOLIDAY!

I'm going on a short holiday to MANILA tmr!
on standy ticket.

Will be back on Monday.

-PRAYS THAT ITS NOT A FULL LOAD TMR-

LAST FLIGHT

My last flight was on 19th Sep.
to CHENNAI.

Chennai says long long overnight flight.
but its not tiring/boring this time.

With Stacy, Olivia & Feona!

No money shortage, good set of crew, endless food, funny passenger,
what more can i ask for for my last flight as an intern.

There was a passenger whom Olivia directed to his seat,
who had an erection!

2 passengers standing outside the lavatory, thinking how to open the door!

a baby boy who we thought was a girl!

a passenger asking how to stop a baby crying!

a passenger asking to on the fan!

and more!. .

After Lifesaving Nationals Open Water,
when we were back in school.
Oh my guan ying ma.
Those arms don't look like they are mine.
We free fall backwards after this picture was taken.
Did this over and over again! =)
Spells FUN!
but but,
Pamela kicked my arm once,
and Randall stepped on me many times in a bid to surface after our fall!

Lifesaving Nationals

Lifesaving Nationals Open Water Competiton was on 15 & 16 AUG.

Although TPLS didn't get into top 3 overall champions,
our team spirit was evident.
Something in me felt very happy yesterday.

I got into the finals for Beach Sprint Relay and Taplin Relay.
Didn't do as well as I want for Beach Flag.

TPLS was the only team that cheered continously for our team mates.
Other teams must have hated us for our 'noise'
We used a loud hailer on top of our voices!

This competition is the last that we year 3s would participate in as 'TP students'
There are 11 of us graduating.
Towards the end, I kept reminding everyone that this is their last.

We went to back to school happy.
With a debrief where some of us got emotional (not a bad thing).
Cedric teared.

After debriefing, we began dunking people into the pool.
Is this a tradition?

Yesterday was sure a good day
minus the whole body sunburn, lost of voice, and muscle ache.

TEMASEK POLYTECHNIC LIFESAVING TEAM LIVES ON!

Results

Currently, TP stands 3rd in the Overall Championship
in Lifesaving Nationals.
The female team stands at Overall 2nd.

There's still open water competition.

Meiyan & Eleanor broke their own record in line throw! Congrats!

After the medals presentation, TPLS began throwing people into the pool.
Unfortunately, i am one of them!
I did not have any extra shirt, underwear/boxer & short.
At least i had an extra trunks.

But it was fun though! =)

Competition

Lifesaving Nationals (Still Water) is on in a few hours.
I'll be down to support my team mates!

ALL THE BEST TPLS!

On a side note, I'm in for Nationals (Open Water).
Beach Flag,
Beach Sprint Relay,
Taplin Relay, and
Tube Rescue.
It's on the 15th and 16th Aug.

Hair Cut

I've not been styling my hair since a week ago (my hair's too long)

Went for hair cut today @ Anthony Hair Boutique!
My hairstylist was actually transferred to another outlet @ Toa Payoh.

Lucky that i called the former outlet to book an appointment.
If not, i would have made a wasted trip down.

Whoever heard of me styling my hair for the past 4 years?
I've always been against using products to style my hair since sec 2.
But but but, I'm back to it since i entered this internship.

Friday, July 31, 2009

I don't feel easy knowing that for my 1st flight next,
i'm operating in A319.

I haven't been flying for a month.
In this month, the POS system was implemented.
I not too sure how to operate it.

I have also never work in an A319 before.
Some procedures are different when operating an A319 as compared to A320.

But still, I would want to get back to flying.

I've got 2 events tml.
10am to be briefed by the communications dept on what to say when ICAO president comes down to TP.
2.30pm to go for a dialouge with Minister George Yeo.

In between, i may go for a haircut.

A sudden change. Be it for the better or worst, things do change.
I sensed it, but i did not really see it coming so fast.
It was when I thought that its the best i could ask for, that this has to happen.

Many in ESC are falling sick!
Feel the warmth and get well soon mates!

I decided to walk home from the mrt station today (which took me 25 mins).
Walking home is a good time to reflect on anything.
Especially when things are coming from all sides.
But half way through, i decided to listen to upbeat music at full volume,
which made me wanna club.

Some club/dance to remember, some club/dance to forget.
Which category do you fall under?

Sunday, July 26, 2009

Flying please!

I prefer flying to ground operations.
Ground operations spells boring!
I'm back to flying next month! =)

some photos during flight:

PAX LOAD IS ONLY 19! SHIOK TO THE MAXIMUS!

Work is a routine, except for the occasional interesting passengers.

This is a very bitchy industry. .

Why do banks charge a fee on ‘insufficient funds’ when they know you don’t have enough?

Why doesn’t Tarzan have a beard?

Rayna, Samantha, Chiamin, Jim, Kianteck, Lingtong & I
met in the Budget Terminal at 5.10AM.

Checked-in & had breakfast.

Boarded the plane at Gate 9.

We took off at 7.10am,
so we were able to see the SUN RISE!
NICE!
Jim took a video when we're taking off.

That's KianTeck having his $4 cup noodles.

Met my cousin (Ae).
Took a cab to Big C Tiwanon.
Checked into a hotel nearby.
it's only about $20 per night for a room that accomodates 3 person.

It RAINED!!
We've actually planned to go Chatuchak market.
it's only open on WEEKENDS.
and today's the only weekend we're in Bangkok.
Faizal took another flight & joined us at the hotel.
The rain only stopped at 4pm.
My cousin (Noi) & her Husband (Mot) drove us to Chatuchak in their Hilux.
Shopped till 8pm?
On our way to Chatuchak

Faizal shopping for shoes.

After shopping for a few hours,
we took a cab to some buffet store near our hotel.
the buffet was $8 per person.

BUFFET TIME!

Went back to our hotel after that.
Shared a room with Faizal & KianTeck.
Samantha, Rayna & Chiamin shared a room.
Lingtong & Jim shared one.
that's about it for Day 1 in BKK.
---------------------------------------------
i actually felt lost when we arrived in Singapore.
Everything is so different from Thailand.
Took me 1 day to get used to being in Singapore.
Samantha wants to go back to Bangkok badly.
She misses her ChaYen (Iced Milk Tea).
